Why we only make Casein Free Cake?

At RealCake we pay a lot of attention to the ingredients we use so that when you consume any of our blissful desserts you have only one thing in mind CELEBRATIONS. This is the reason, we do not use any milk products for making our delightful Casein Free cake. We always keep your long term health ahead of our financial gains.

Milk contains casein. Casein is the name for a family of related phosphoproteins. These proteins are commonly found in mammalian milk, making up 80% of the proteins in cow milk and other dairy products made from cow’s milk. However, some research has shown that this type of protein has hidden dangers. Several people are allergic to casein.

A casein allergy occurs when your body’s immune system mistakenly thinks that the protein is harmful and inappropriately produces allergic (IgE) antibodies for protection. The interaction between these antibodies and the specific protein triggers the release of body chemicals such as histamine that cause symptoms which may include:
•Swelling of the lips, mouth, tongue, face, or throat
•Skin reactions such as hives, a rash, or red, itchy skin
•Nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, coughing, or wheezing

The most serious reaction to milk allergy is called anaphylaxis. This is a potentially life threatening reaction that can occur rapidly. Allergy to foods (including casein in milk) is believed to be the leading cause of anaphylaxis outside the hospital setting. People who have asthma in addition to a serious food allergy to an item, such as casein, are at greater risk for worse outcomes if they suffer an exposure and develop an anaphylactic reaction.

Symptoms such as swelling inside your mouth, chest pain, hives or difficulty breathing within minutes of consuming a milk product may mean you are experiencing an anaphylactic reaction and need emergency medical attention.

That is the reason we only sell Casein Free cake and lose some business as some of the customer we speak to want cake only with icing with cream.

Why we always use Food Grade Stainless Steel Cookware?

With the increasing awareness about living healthy and with increasing understanding of eating healthy food, we are making your best efforts to buy that freshest vegetable, that healthy cooking oil and a lot more.

Why worry about the Cookware Material

However many of us forget to take note of the cookware we use to cook these healthy foods. There is widespread usage of Aluminium cookware as they are cheap, lightweight and transfer heat quickly to the food being cooked. Aluminum cookware may leach aluminum molecules into food and exacerbate aluminum poisoning. Aluminum exposures have raised some health concerns due to the effects of aluminum on the human nervous system and there could be linkages between aluminum exposures and Alzheimer’s disease.

Needless to say we do not use Aluminium cookware while cooking your favourite muffins and cakes at RealCake Bakery. We always spend extra to buy and use Food Grade Stainless Steel Cookware.

Why we only use Organic Honey?

RealCake Bakery in Gurgaon uses Organic Honey in its Muffins and Cakes

With the increasing awareness about healthy eating, people are increasingly searching for healtheir options to satisfy their sweet tooth. A sweet delicious Cake is something everyone looks forward to, but the biggest challenge is to keep it it healthy.

RealCake with Real Natural Sweetner – Organic Honey

At RealCake we believe that making a healthy cake is all about substitutions of certain ingredients like sugar, butter, oil and flour, as well as using less frosting or glaze.

Therefore we only use USDA Certified Organic Honey instead of chemically processed sugar. You must be wondering what is the difference between the two, to understand it better let me explain about it in detail. Our body use food as a fuel to run itself by breaking down food into glucose. The more complex a food the more work it takes to break it down.

Sugar is made of 50 percent glucose and 50 percent fructose and therefore it is broken down very easily, leading to a surge of blood glucose. What your body doesn’t use right away gets stored as fat.

Honey is only about 30 percent glucose and less than 40 percent fructose. And there are also about 20 other types of sugary substances in the mix making it much more complex, and dextrin, a type of starchy fiber. What it means is much more work for body burn this fuel in to glucose. Therefore, one end up accumulating fewer calories from it. The best part is that honey contains trace minerals such as zinc, selenium & vitamins and as it is doesn’t break down in nature, it doesn’t contain preservatives or other additives.

Why RealCake Bakery is reinventing the Cake?

Cake is a sweet form of baked bread or bread-like food. Cakes normally contains a combination of flour, sugar, eggs, and butter or oil, with some varieties also requiring liquid (typically milk or water) and leavening agents (such as yeast or baking powder). Flavorful ingredients like fruit purées, nuts, dried or candied fruit, or extracts are often added, and numerous substitutions for the primary ingredients are possible. Cakes are often filled with fruit preserves or dessert sauces (like pastry cream), iced with buttercream or other icings, and decorated with marzipan, piped borders or candied fruit.

Cakes are seeping in tradition in India during anniversaries, birthdays and other celebrations. There are countless cake recipes; some are bread-like, some rich and elaborate, and many are centuries old. Cake making is no longer a complicated procedure; while at one time considerable labor went into cake making (particularly the whisking of egg foams), baking equipment and directions have been simplified so that even the most amateur cook may bake a cake.

However with the increasing awareness about healthy eating habits people are increasingly searching for healtheir options to satisfy their sweet tooth. A fun, delicious Cake is something everyone looks forward to, but the biggest challenge is to keep the excitement going and keep things healthy. At RealCake we believe that making a healthy cake is all about substitutions of certain ingredients like sugar, butter, oil and flour, as well as using less frosting or glaze.
